Fresh Notebook was built around one observation: most people learning AI tools struggle not with the concepts but with the gap between theory and an actual working environment. Our workshops close that gap through structured, hands-on practice on live cloud platforms.
What actually happens
inside our workshops.
Each workshop follows a fixed structure: a short framing session, a guided hands-on exercise on a real cloud platform — AWS, Azure, or GCP — and an open troubleshooting period where participants work through errors together. There are no pre-recorded demos. Everything runs live.
The exercises are designed around tasks people actually encounter at work: deploying a model endpoint, configuring IAM permissions for a data pipeline, or reading cost breakdowns from a billing dashboard. The scenarios come from real projects, anonymised and adapted for teaching.
Participants work in small cohorts — typically 8 to 14 people — which keeps the pace manageable and makes it possible to address individual questions without derailing the group. Instructors are practitioners, not educators by background, which changes the texture of the conversation.
Sessions run online, accessible from anywhere in the country. The platform handles scheduling across time zones, and recordings of the exercise walkthroughs are available for review after each session. Progress is tracked per participant, not per cohort.
How we handle participants from different experience levels
Each workshop has a stated prerequisite level — typically either "can navigate a cloud console" or "has deployed at least one resource". We ask participants to self-assess before registering. In practice, there is always some spread within a cohort, and instructors are used to adjusting the pace mid-session. We do not separate groups by region or geography, only by topic and level. Someone in a rural area and someone in a major city work through the same exercises at the same time.
